So I erroneously thought that I didn't need to submit my advising preferences for freshman year. I turned out to be wrong, but I still managed to submit a brief personal statement. This is all that my advisor knows about me.
I'm interested most in what I don't know, which is a lot. My interests lay in the biological sciences and their applications, specifically genetics. I love martial arts and lacrosse, the two sports I believe to be the greatest things since sliced bread. In my spare time, I enjoy playing the clarinet and watching documentaries. Upon graduation from MIT, I'd like to go to medical school and study under the HST Department to earn a joint MD-PhD and spend my life as a physician scientist. I know this is going to be a lot of work, and that my lack of exposure to physics and chemistry will sometimes be a burden, but I am willing to work hard to make my dreams a reality.
I hope it's enough.
