Here I sit, at 3:27 AM, with no regular circadian rhythm in sight. Fail.
If this were any other summer, I would happily be stuffing my face with junk food and playing Harvest Moon 64 (old-school ftw). But, this isn't just an ordinary summer. In approximately two months (though in my semi-conscious state of mind I typed days. I wish. ) I will be packing my life into two suitcases and an indeterminate amount of boxes to fly 1700 miles north to Cambridge. When I land, I will officially be a college student, which in and of itself is a scary proposition. But not only will I be a college student. I'm going to be an MIT student, subject to ridiculous sleep schedules, painful amounts of work, and... the best undergraduate experience in the history of undergraduate experiences.
In my vast amounts of free time in this last of summers, in between Facebook updates, the latest episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender on hulu, blog updating, and general unproductivity, I'm beginning to realize (if I haven't already) that I need to cherish these last few days of freedom. In 59 days, I am an MIT freshman and I will have to work my butt off to keep myself from getting overwhelmed.
59 days. 59 days.
*Edit: Like my previous post, this was written a few days ago. The countdown is now down to (redundancy) and 53 more days.>
